Software to run your shop, day to day

DispatchThread started as the packing bench, because that was the part nothing did properly. The same shop needed everything else done the same way, so we built it: stock, the delivery date at checkout, returns, and the one question every customer asks. Despatch you can start today. The others run in our own shops every day and are being made ready for yours.

Supplier feeds

A supplier’s stock and dates read each morning and set on your website, and new lines brought in from their catalogue as drafts for you to approve.

Each one knows about the others

They are separate modules with separate screens, and you can take one without the rest. The point of having them from one place is what passes between them.

Stock to the bench

The despatch queue shows where every item is coming from: on the shelf, in the warehouse, on order from a supplier, or made at the factory. A batch of fifty is sorted into what can go now and what cannot before a label is bought.

Stock to the checkout

Delivery dates are quoted from the same figures the bench works from, so a customer is promised Thursday because the item is counted, not because a flat rate said Thursday.

Returns to support

When a customer asks on WhatsApp where their refund is, the assistant reads the return the portal already holds and answers in the portal’s own words, after checking who it is talking to.

Also in the works

Smaller pieces that solved a particular morning. Each is running for us; none is packaged for anyone else yet.

Order emails

An email in your own colours at each stage of an order: received, confirmed, shipped with the tracking number, delivered, cancelled, refunded. Driven by BigCommerce telling it the status changed, and it will never send the same one twice however many times it is told.

Supplier feeds

A supplier’s stock and restock dates read each morning and set on your website, so a size they have none of stops selling and a size due back in three weeks says so on the product page. New lines come in from their catalogue as hidden drafts, with descriptions written in your voice, for you to approve.
