Cookies

This website

We would like to use two Google services on this website: Google Analytics, to see which pages are read and where visitors came from, and Google Ads, to see whether our adverts led to a visit or a sign-up. Both set cookies, so neither runs unless you agree. Until you choose, and if you say no, nothing from Google Analytics or Google Ads is loaded at all.

You can agree to one and not the other, and change your mind at any time with Cookie settings, which is also at the bottom of every page. Saying no makes no difference to anything else on the site.

We use advertising cookies to measure our adverts only. We do not use them to build audiences or to show you personalised adverts, and our settings tell Google not to.

Google may also set its own cookies on its own domains when our tags run. Those are described in Google's cookie policy, and Google's use of the information is set out in its privacy policy. Our privacy policy explains what we receive and why.

Always on, because the site needs them

Stored in your browserWhat it is forHow long
dt.consentYour choice above, so you are not asked on every page12 months, then you are asked again
dt.promoOnly if you pause the moving offers at the top of the page, so they stay still on the next pageUntil you clear your browser data
dt.shopOn the sign-in page, the shop name you typed, so the button takes you to your own system next timeUntil you clear your browser data

None of these leaves your browser; nothing in them is sent to us. The site also loads a web font from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google's font servers for it. No cookie is set by that request.

The DispatchThread app

Once you sign in to your shop's instance, the app sets one cookie. It holds a session token, nothing else: no name, no email address, no order data. It exists so that the app knows you are signed in, and it is removed when you sign out.

CookieWhat it holdsHow long
SessionA random token identifying your signed-in sessionUntil you sign out or it expires

The app also remembers, in your own browser and not on our servers, which packing bench that machine is. That is a convenience so the counter PC does not ask every morning, and it is cleared when you clear your browser data.

The app's cookie and storage are strictly necessary for a service you asked to use, so they need no consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. The app itself uses no analytics and no advertising.
